Call your local branch of the BATF&E and speak with a Special Agent for details.

If the felony was non-violent and not drug-related, you may be able to qualify to own a firearm by filling out the proper paperwork.



Many folks have caught a felony for writing a NSF check, or some other 'technical' felony and think they are branded for life.

I knew someone who had a felony 14 years ago that was drug related. One of the terms of his probation was that if he fulfilled the other terms of his probation, that his civil rights would be restores. Meaning he could vote and own a gun.



They were, and he does. Laws concerning this vary from state to state.
