Sig Arms P226 Reviews

It appears that all of these postings are about the P226 base model (650.00 to 900.00), not the X-Five series. The X-Five series is to replace the P210 model. These are Sigs top of the line guns, primarily competition guns. They range from about 1,650 to 2,500, which more than likely would need special ordered. Im sure depending on the state will depend on availability. I purchased the X-Five L1 for 2,144.00. This is the top of the line X-Five model with an adjustable trigger and a wood handle. I am waiting for it to arrive from Switzerland. Cant wait to shoot it!

Its been said that the devils in the details. Not here! Beautiful craftsmanship is what I found as I explored the details of my P226. Tight groupings, an identical feel, again and again, shot after shot: what a pleasure! Theres a word in German that means, "functional masterpiece"". Any germanic folks out there who could shed light on the word because it sums up my feeling about the Sig Sauer 9mm P226. Not that its ugly or anything; this one happens to be holstered on my hip, not hanging on my wall."

I bought a new Sig Blackwater p226 last month. What can I say? This is without a doubt the center piece of my collection. Superior is the closest adjective I can think of to compare it with the other guns I have. Thats saying alot in the company of my beretta 92, sig 229, springfield XD service model, S&W 6906 ,etc. Chambered in 9mm, The 226 cycles flawlessly and I love the contrasting green/red night sights. Custom wood grips, tactical rail, and custom slide etching round out an already impressive weapon. The frame is full sized and perfect for larger hands. Listen up ladies and gents... Its worth the extra money. Save - then buy the Best!

I own a 12yr old West German P-226 chamabered in 9mm w/ trijicon night sights. It is above and beyond the single most accurate pistol I own, Just used it to qualify for my states Conceal Carry Class. Plain and simple this thing is a tack driver have had approx. 7500 rounds through it and no functionality problems.I would highly recomend this gun. Liked it so much I own 2

I have had my P226R for 5 months now shooting it weekly at my local range. To start with it had a few fail to lock back after the last round however this may be due to it being a new pistol and me with my thumb on the slide release!! Haha.

Since new it has been accurate, reliable and without fault of manufacture. I have shot over 2500 rounds through it and now i reload my own 9mm ammo which it eats as well with ease.

I am proud to own the 226 as it is an excellent pistol and i can understande why the Navy SEALS and other special forces such as the SAS use them.

got my p226 .40 cal SS at the gun show.. awesome gun.. accurate down to the science... you can trust your life on this piece.. the quality is just amazing.. 5 out of 5 for me!.. buy one

I bought my P226 SS .357 cal 2 months ago. Ive fired almost 400 rounds through it. I can throw it more accurately than it shoots. Ive had several others fire it with the same results. Sent it back to Sig. They said nothing wrong, no adjustments needed. (40.00 to ship it) I think they are full of it. From 20ft to 40ft, cant hit a 2inch bullseye. Even braced. Very disappointed with my $1000.00 gun. It looks nice, and makes alot of noise but thats about it.... Where are the set screws to adjust the sites, like cheaper guns have??

Maybe someone can help me out on this....

I am renting various .40SW models to find the right one. I tried the Sig P226 and I loved it, except that every single casing ejected and hit me square in the forehead. I have a headache from the 30 rounds I put through the rental. Maybe it was something a gunsmith can fix, maybe just that model or particular piece. Id like to know if anyone else has experienced or heard of this with the P226 or other Sigs?
