Glock 30 Reviews

There is nothing about a Glock that I don't like. The G30 is my daily carry weapon. Accuracy, completely reliable, easy to take down for cleaning, and lots of accessories that don't cost a lot, and once you get any Glock, you know all Glocks. Other than size and caliber, their all the same, and nearly indestuctable. IMO.

The only possible negative I could see is that even this "small" Glock can be a bit large for concealed carry, especially here in the South Texas summer heat. I love both of my Glocks, but my main carry in the summer is my Colt Defender.

Thank you gentlemen. I am not so worried about concealability since I live in California, for the time being. Not exactly a "shall issue" state. My last concern is with the mags. I have seen people struggle to get all ten rounds in their mags. Is this a problem that you have experienced? Thank you for your help.

The first few times the 10th round was a little difficult. That worked itself out pretty quick.

If you're going to be doing much loading, I recommend that you invest $30 in an UPLULA speed loader. It will fill the mags, do so quickly (about a round a second) without causing cramps in your thumbs, and handle anything from .380 to .45 ACP. I have a 30-round mag for my Ruger 9mm, and I could never get past #27. The UPLULA loads all 30 and it does so nearly effortlessly.

Thank you. I hope to one day have the problem of loading 30 rds at a time. California max is 10 rds. Maybe I should just move to Texas

The Glock will come with its own speedloader. It's definitely a tight squeeze on that last round on the G30 until the mags are broken in.

The UpLULA will definitely speed up the loading process though, and it just about eliminates wear and tear on the thumb. If you have large hands you might also find that an extended slide release is almost a necessity with the G30 . . .

I saw a review about Glocks on TV the other night and can personally verify this as well. The plastic mag will swell over time and will not fall out when you press the mag release if you load them to the maximum. You will have to take the time to pull it out. Always load one less than the max! Glocks have plenty of capacity any way. Over the years, I have purchased several new mag because of this. Keep the old mags for practice shooting.

As for the Glock 30, if you keep one round up the pipe, you cannot load a full 10 rnd mag into the pistol any way. You must load only 9 in the mag.
