Still the weapon of choice in this house and there are many. My favorite gun in and out of the house when the Florida heat allows for concealment otherwise it's the Kimber Solo in the pocket.

As much as I love my Kimber UC, the GA heat makes it hard to carry such a heavy gun. So as of now I have to carry my Sig Sauer P238. I love both but I can get away with the Sig under a tee shirt.

I have a Kimber Ultra CDP II .40 cal and bought it because it was available, rare, and had the proper 1/16 twist (which most Glocks do not have). It is very accurate and I don't regret buying it. Perhaps rarity may add collector value later on? I love the 45ACP also, which is what most people insist on buying...and there's nothing wrong with that. I haven't found any issues with the 40, but have less than 2000 rounds through it.

Having just purchased a Ultra CDP II, I am looking for a good IWB holster and also a OWB. One that will be comfortable as possible and be kind to the finish on my new Kimber. Concealment is the main goal in mind as this will become my daily carry in most cases. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Picked up a Custom II this week and just love it. So far, 200 rounds down range and no errors at all. Used Remington 230 grain range ammo and it was just perfect...

Question regarding holsters...Anyone know of a good IWB for the small of the back out there? Looking for a very simple one that's light weight and small.

Recommendations?

Thx

Brian,

In-store pricing can be all over the board. I paid right at $750 at my local shop for mine, but since the purchase I have found them on-line for anywhere from $700-760.

If your shop is trying to charge more than that range, I'd look on-line at www.the-armory.com or maybe www.jacksonarmory.com as well. I've bought guns from both places and they are very good at the customer service aspects and answering your questions.

Bear in mind that Jackson Armory's website is not very good at all. Trying to search out a specific brand does get you to the regular handgun section...and they have a ton on-line to look at. Best case scenario if you go with them is to call there and ask for Trey or Doc. Good guys who will help you out.

Hope that helps,

S2B
