Colt Gunsite Reviews

Bought the stainless last fall 05 took it to gunsite did the 250 class. Pistol performed flawlessly. No malfunctions and good accuracy despite dirt and heat. Still all is not perfect ejector started to work loose after about 1000 rds. I had it re-pinned in place back in business. It is not match gun tight like the price might suggest but it does function where the other guns were choking her at home and at gunsite. a four rating ony because of ejector working loose.

I purchased a Colt Gunsite Pistol (blued version) after attending the 250 course, in 2009.

I have found it to be a wonderfully reliable 1911. It is not a super tight race gun, but a practicle .45 based on Col. Cooper's ideas of the perfect 1911.

I use mine for defensive carry as well as IDPA competitions, and it has performed flawlessly so far.

If you are looking for a reliable practical 1911, take a look at the Colt GSP.

Does anyone know how long Gubsite has been in production. What sets it apart from other newer Colts?
