Just bought the new Beretta PX4 Compact in 9MM (not the subompact) after doing some research. Took it to the range twice so far...about 500 rounds through it. Totally flawless right out of the box. Minimal recoil, accurate, fun to shoot,

I added Trijicon night sights since I carry this gun now. Good size & weight for CCW and it looks cool too :)

Totally happy with this purchase. You point it and pull the trigger...it goes bang. Just what you want for a carry weapon. I have the full size PX4 and it is flawless too.

Tig et al, I love the discussion of holsters! There are so many out there that are similar and can do so much, so I'll add yet one more to consider. www.kholster.com can offer you an IWB that is very much like the Crossbreeds (great holsters, BTW) but have a bit more adjustability and are less expensive. Just sayin'.

For 9mmman: You're killing me here!!! I've held the Compact and I WANT ONE!!! I've handled it several times and each time have managed to put it back on the counter. My full size is calling for a little brother and the CX4 is saying "bring it on". I have made a vow to make my next purchase an ARX160 when they become available as semiauto's in the good ol' USA, but my resolve is dwindling...

I don't see how they call this a full size pistol. even the Beretta 92FS is a 4.5 inch barrel. My 1911 has a 5 inch barrel. I would call this Full Size. I think that's what it says on there website. I love Beretta, I have the 84fs Cheetah and I had the 92fs, beautiful guns, these PX models, I don't know, they don't jump out and say Beretta. I bet they are great, I read about the .45 cal version, they are probably the bee's knees.

@ke7zem, if you get the chance you should stop into a gun range, rent one in your choice of ammo (3 sizes to choose from) and give it a whirl. On second thought, perhaps you shouldn't--you already have several guns and one more in your arsenal would just be ostentatious. :D

Mine is a 9mm, as is its brother CX4, but I've shot the .40 and would love to try out the .45. This is not a gun to take lightly--its fit and finish is stellar and with Beretta's reputation you'll find little to no fault. As to barrel length, many of today's weapons are considered full size with a 4" barrel. Just because of the limited length, don't sell it short (pun intended).

Markej4801 I know what you meen, the Glock 22 with the 4.5 inch barrel is full size. I would love to give a PX4 but I'm afraid I will want one. I did some reading on them and have no doubt they are quality, I meen, it's Beretta for heavens sakes. I like the rotating barrel and the picitinny rail for light, lazer. Niether of the handguns I have now have a rail. I should of kept the Glock 22 but, 3 was just too much to afford to shoot!!!. even one is.

...and when asked why he carried 3 guns, his reply was "because 4 would just be ostentatious." ;)

Okay, so who did I upset?

Someone posted about someone else posting something that sounded like a scam. I post about how these scams work, and now the alleged scam, the person calling out the scam and my post explaining the scam method no longer show up?

Someone have an explanation? Especially since I follow this thread and I received e-mail notification re: new postings and I see these three posts being deleted are the only new changes?

@Rerun201: WOW, was that just a bit hard to follow! I read it several times before I got the gist of it, but can see WHY you wrote it that way. Wasn't me. I remember the scam from several months ago, but not anything recent, my friend. Hmmm...

Anyway, how are things going with your favorite gun? ;)
