I heard Llama is out of business.

I wanted to get the Mini Max subcompact.

Are they still available?

Good luck, Ta2Dave! Probably the only place you will fine it is at a gun show, or perhaps an online auction. Llama items are very hard to come by...

I got this worn out Llama Max-1 that i aquired recently. It is the best pistol in my collection. It is very reliable, and very acurate.

I purchased the Llama .45 back in 2004 and sold it 4 years later for which they gave me pocket change. The metal work on the frame was so poor that I lost confidence on the gun, thinking the frame would crack or the slide would fail. The gun was ordered on the internet and delivered to a gun shop so not sure if I had the right to refuse it after it was paid for.

I recently got a MAX-I-L/F COMP-7. What does the L/F stand for? The COMP-7 stands for the recoil compensator/muzzle brake, has anyone ever seen one of these? From the serial number it seems to have been manufactured in 1995. It does have a stamping which says Oceanside, N.J. Did any companies continue making these pistols after Llama went out of business with their name or offering factory reworks? Will it accept a standard 1911 barrel? It shoots great and I have no complaints other than finding ammo that's safe to use with the ported barrel, Blazer Brass seems to feed the best but leaves residue in the ports. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
