I don't like this gun at all, the grip is huge and wide and yet it's to short to be comfortable. The trigger pull is so heavy that you practically have to hitch a truck to it and drive the other way to get it to shoot.

I'm glad many of you have had good luck with your 9000s, and frankly that is what I would expect from a Beretta. Sadly that was not my case at all.

The 9000 is not a pistol I picked out to buy but took it on a trade at a good price at a gunshop I deal with. I had been thinking of a 92 but preferred a a smaller model. I had thought about re-selling the 9000 but can't let it go as it shoots great and it's Beretta quality with no problems at all. I also like the fit in my hand, I guess I like to get a good hold on a pistol. I don't feel like this is a carry gun as I carry snub nose .38 or .357 but a good home defense gun. I do wish it were higher capacity and had laser grips were available.

The link I posted in my last post was tooooo long, so I deleted the post. I used bitly to reduce the length. The following link is from the Beretta USA website. It tells you how to determine the date of manufacture:

Copy and paste the link into your browser's address bar. Enjoy. RAZman

The date code is NOT embedded within the serial number. It is stamped elsewhere. READ the information on the link I provided.

I have a 9000 (with safety/decocker) in perfect mint condition, less than 50 rounds fired, looking to sell it or trade it. If anyone is interested please let me know. I am in the Florida area.
