Agreed Rick. Now take a look at changing out the connecting bar, firing pin spring, and also put in the extended slide and mag release buttons. $50for all of them and can be done in twenty minutes by you....It is an amazing weapon!!

I've owned/carried a 26 for a couple of years. It is now in my BOB (bug out bag) since I started carrying my 19. I take both to the range regularly and have shot over 1K rounds through each without a single failure of any kind. At the range I use cheapest ammo available and hydrashok for carry. Since I also like to compete at practical shooting I've put extended mag & slide release on the 19 and will do same for the 26 (my next project). The 26 is a little small for my long fingers, but I've practiced enough that I feel comfortable with it. Using the model 19 magazine can help too. My experience with the 26 is why I now have the 19, as well as the model 23.

I have owned my gen 3 G26 for almost 5 years now. Has always been a very reliable gun. I purchased it brand new on the reccomendation of a friend who had owned one for several years and swore by it. Never had a FTF or FTE issue ever. I would guess I have 1000-1200 rounds through it to date.

For those with very large hands, I would reccomend stepping up to a G19. I picked up some 12 rnd Glock mags and it is a bit more comfortable in my hands when shooting at the range now.

I just got my Glock 26 Gen 4. I put 100 rounds thru it today. Worked perfect. I hope to get back to the range in the next few days and put a couple hundred more rounds thru it. So far I'm really loving it.

saltair, My wife has Glock 26 and she uses a Blackhawk cabon fiber paddle and it came with a belt adapter. You can change the cant and put it wherever you want ever crossdraw. I have one for my XD and always use it crossdraw. It's OWB. Yesterday I bought a DeSantis soft-tuck it's a IWB holster for my XD. It works very well so I'm getting one for her Glock. I also have one for both guns from DM Bullard that work realy well. You will work on a box of them before your done. My favorite is the blackhawk. dollar for dollar the best.

BlackHawk! Serpa Level II or III or Kydex 5.11 Thumb drive holster is your best bet.

If you want an Inside the waistband holster, you had better check out the ones made by BlackHawk! (about 15 dollars for em) or get a Crossbreed Supertuck (that is a neat holster!)

To diagnose, it would be helpful if you provided more specific details about the jams you are experiencing.

1. Is this a Glock factory magazine?

2. Before shooting, did you first dis-assemble, clean and lubricate the mag?

3. Did you check to see if the mag spring is reversed?

4. What type of ammo was used?

5. What kind of jams? In the mag itself? Feed ramp? Chamber? Failure to extract? Failure to eject? Stovepipe in the ejection port?

Each type of failure has a different cause and solution.
