why when only buying a scope only sent to FFL dealer not my home it's not a gun

There is only one reason that I can think of. They're sticking it to you! If all you were interested in was the scope, and nothing that required special services from the FFL holder, there was no justification to send it there first. Did they charge you a FFL transfer fee?
