There is new iPhone app called MiGuns. The app lets the user build a database of their gun collection. What's nice is you include a photo of your gun.

I have seen a Ballistic Calculators for the iPhone, does anyone know of any other iPhone/iPod application?

Could that be just another "App" for Big Brother to silently keep a record of your firearm inventory? They can determine your location in seconds, track your movement anywhere around the globe, monitor your contacts and how often you speak to them, as well as what you're talking about. Now they're able to determine immediately how many firearms you own, and if you order your ammo using that phone, they know how much of that you have too! I bet there's one "App" they don't offer though, one for "Privacy"...

Don't mind me, the socialists have instilled alot of cautious paranoia in me! I simply ask everyone to consider all the consequences that this technology may result in.

I didn't think this post would start such a fury.

I'm a big technology fan and liked the idea of being able to keep info available to me when I go to a gun show. But I guess it is not necessary to put in ALL the info. (ie Serial Numbers)

I also would like to see some sort of app that gave you target shooting tips.

LOL!! A Fury?? Hardly my friend! A "Fury" is what the ignorant people around this country are starting over the Arizona immigration law. Let the fools whine, I wish the rest of this country would follow your lead. Maybe there's an app for that! I'm in total agreement with you on that remark regarding serial numbers. If there's a place to add those, I would definately NOT provide those. It's truly amazing how many different apps are being developed for that thing. What is the average cost for one of them?

I guess our right about the FURY. I think if your coming to this country the least you can do is carry the proper paper work!

As to your questions what do these iPhone applications cost.

They range from Free...99 cents...$6.99.The price varies.

Winchester's Ballistic Calulator is Free.

iSnipe Calculator is $5.99

MiGuns is $4.99

Modern Weapons is $.99

Alot of apps have FREE or LITE versions.

Gotta tell I love this techie stuff

Anything posted on the Internet falls under 'Broadcast Law' with no expectation of privacy. It becomes 'Public Info'.

'Secure connections' fall into telephone law with an expectation of privacy and warrant is required to access that info.

Just for the record:

I sold ALL my firearms, legally, and have become a bleeding heart, tree-hugging, Liberal and wish to pay much higher taxes to a HUGE government, that will micro-manage every aspect of my life.

If I have to stand in line for TP for a few hours a week, I don't mind.

Also, if I can no longer afford electricity or gasoline, I will happily do without.

I understand that anything on the internet is under Broadcast Law...but if your talking about info that is on your iPhone, iPod or iPad that info is stored on the device itself. It's only available to the user/owner.

If that's what we're talking about?
