How the guns laws for NJ residents? and there right to protect themselves. in home invasion and there in fear of life. ? and has there ben any inprovement in NJ catching up with all the other states for resident CCW ? Hows the laws in purchasing a hand gun and or shotgun in NJ now days. I purchased firearms years , back and was wondering hows the laws now days. I also had non resident ccw permits for couple states just to have . was hoping one day NJ would grant resedents CCW. but when my permits times to renew I choose not to sincce at that timew NJ still done nothing for its, residents, we live in a violent state. Newark city ilegal gun crimes happen all time and many other places, NJ residents should have the right to CCW carry conceal firarm , so can go about there life without the fear of being car jacked or some wild criminal decides to tr and rob you with a weapon, at least you can have a choice to stop him and if nessary take his life , vs he takes your and you cant even do anything about it like present, criminal dont obey laws , thats why violent criminals. residents go by the law and there walking vitums , just matter time. even peper spary is strictly regulated . are they kidding me the law makers? So bring me up to speed on the present NJ gun laws. also my cousin has a misdemenior disorderly person, can he still get permit to buy firearm? Will NJ do you think will soon pass CCW for residents? I read where people move from NJ to PA so they carry CCW and feel safe.

I sure don't know anything about Jersey gun laws. Only that you can't use hollow point ammunition which is actually putting more citizens in danger. A hollow point acts like a lead parachute. It slows the bullet down, dumping it's energy and is less likely to over penetrate. a 45acp FMJ will go through 2 people and in to the third. It is more common than you think to have innocent people hit by bullets that over penetrate. So if this one law is any indication then I would say that New Jersey has some of the worst gun laws in the country. Written by people who don't know anything about guns.

Unfortunately Rocket, NJ is so ass backwards regarding firearm rights and legislation, you'd probably be wiser to move than fight a seemingly immoveable object. The only way you'll ever get those laws changed will be to rid your entire state government of all the liberal trash that's infesting it. I don't know your age, but it hasn't changed in decades and I don't know too many people that want to live under that kind of rule for the rest of their life. While it's certainly a worthwhile effort to change the laws in a narrow minded, socialist state, the time you're willing to put up with it are another story. Sometimes fighting from a friendlier front is the only way to get the work done. Anyway, here's the information I found, and much more can be had by a simple Google search. Wow there must have been some big laws passed for several more states recently. came acroos on youtube many videos of residents carry con concealed handguns. and saw police which the person and friendsalso carry visable automatic filmed police who came over to them demanding to see I.D. and this young maybe 26 yrs old . new some laws , He said why? did I break any laws . police said no, he said well I like to be on my way. offices said no, ur being detained we want to make sure ur allow to carry the firarm. which he said state law don't need permit and ouoted the statue, another offer showed up and this by park. , police said we got call ur creating making people nervevious and ur friend also. they said all the police are cause the scene and are they stopping other people asking for there I.D. just walking up and other police have guns unhosltered. The one young fellow said since office blocking himfrom continuing him an friend to go there way, he requested supervisor be called to scene meantime said he requested a layer and excersing right to not say anything further. , Soon after they were allow to go about ther business. one would think the majority of the town was carry firearms un concealwed shopping and the police should be up on thelaw. people didnt just run arm themselbves without a law passed by whoever the courts.

SWo the USA map looks almost completly covered by states allow residents and ebven non residents carry ccw and or unconcealed. What is the lated doing in New jersey. I mean practicly the who;e country states residents hace some type carry handgun for personal protection . what is with NJ few yrs back was if carry large some mony transpot it or dangerious job , then maybe court allow on one case by case, Don't the people right to to protect there own life count any moment a life can be snuffed out criminals dont obey the lawyesr and we are the sheep. for slauter. So whats the progress in 2011? I did read someone mention Nj resident get a non res Fla ccw lic/permit to carry, how does this help Nj resident in home state with non res ccw from FLA? Also How is this govenor christie on right to bare arms? and hollow points bullts purchased in store if used in home b&E and deadly force use ,do they still arrest home owner.? I dont get it holl points are going to stopp in person body, unlike a solid bullet which goes thur body and walss and can hurt a inocent. >Well thank you I know post a lot question been out touch on this stuff. are there nj pro groups have backing of NRA to get thing passed. ccw for residents. Nj one higest crime state and most people for size and no protection even peper spray major fight. other states people buy taser gun or real gun Nj we get nada. well good evening an thnk you.

Hey Rocket, that was quite a post you left! I'm sure that a Florida non resident license won't allow you to carry in New Jersey. They won't let anyone carry concealed unless you're law enforcement. So forget that. But that same non resident Florida license will be honored in many states that accept the Florida license. Here is a link to the Florida State license information that can provide that to you http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/news/concealed_carry.html Good luck!

The Police here have the right to stop and search a person at will. (Normally they don't) But they don't need "Cause" for personal search.

I don't know if it's the same elsewhere??
