handgun choice

Postby eac » Mon Oct 24, 2011 11:07 pm

I'm a 60 year old woman 4'11" tall. I have small hands with short fingers. I also have arthritis in my hands. Do you have any suggestions for which semi-automatic handgun might work out best for me? Thanks.

EAC, Welcome to the Forum!

The Glock 26 or 27 is a good choice for a smaller Pistol with an easy Trigger pull. I don't know what cal. you are looking for, or it's use, but those models cover the 9mm and .40 Cal's. which are large enough to do damage if God forbid you ever need to use a weapon. Don't concern yourself too much with the lack of obvious safety's like many people do. They are built in and the gun cannot go off unless you pull the Trigger.

Good Luck!

Gloc9mm has picked a couple of the best. I think the Baby glock 26 9mm has a easier recoil than that of the 27. I'm a little parshall to the glocks too, BUT you should also think about a 380. With small hands and it is really a pocket pistol that will fit nicely in a purse. That's my two cent worth. Just make sure you test fire them(Gun ranges have many to try) before buying.
