Hi JD,

You can start your own review thread by going to the Shotgun forum and opening a new topic. Matter of fact there are several threads already on Remington and Mossberg shotguns. I've got the Maverick 88 pump and love it. Very reliable and smooth functioning gun. But you're welcome to start any new topic you'd like in any forum. It's one of the nice features of this site.

You can go to the Shotgun Forum and listed at the top of the page is an "Add a new gun" link. Click that link and fill in the information. Then the Editor will review the information and add it to the forum. He is the only person that can add a complete weapon description with picture to the forum. Otherwise you can add a new topic to the thread of your choice as I described earlier.

ok thanks, hey if you have the 500 you might want to consider the 590 it has a capicty the with a 20 inch barrel of 8+1 pretty good for a shotgun

Well, I have had the exact same problem with my 500, but only once and it was entirely my fault. I was out shooting at a friends house and ran out of ammo. I asked if he had any shells in the house and he promptly came back with one of those 100rd bricks of bird shot. I loaded them up and went to start shooting, and the damn things fell out the bottom EVERY time I racked it!! Turns out 20ga shells look a whole lot like 12ga shells. I had the wrong caliber in the weapon!!!

So, like I said, definitely not Mossbergs error, it was 100% user eroor.
