remington 597 .22, I have had one for about six years and its the best .22 I have ever had as far as accuracy and dependibility

There was a good conversation going about lever action .22s. Maybe you could add the Marlin 39a, Winchester 9422, the Henrys.

Also there's not alot of good info out there on the inexpensive surplus stuff that alot of people think about just because of price. Moisin Nagants, Ishapore .308, various SKS makes. The only people who have any info to offer on these seem to be the ones selling them!
