U.S. House & Senate have voted themselves $4,700 and $5,300 raises.





1. They voted to not give you a Social Security cost of living raise in 2010 and 2011.



2. Your Medicaid premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2-years and you will not get the 3% COLA: $660/yr. Your total 2-yr loss and cost is -$1,600 or - $3,200 for husband and wife.



3. Over 2-yrs THEY each will have an extra $10,000 to spend.



4. Do you feel betrayed?



5. Will THEY have their cost of drugs - doctor fees -,etc., increase? NO WAY ! The taxpayers foot most of the bill for their health care. Minimal cost to them !



When we remain silent they think we really don't care that much. Know What? They are probably right. If you do care, Google can provide quick access to your elected officials.



SOME of us become tired being just another sheep in the flock! Sincerely hope you know some active sheep you can forward this to. THEY have a raise, and better benefits. Why care about YOU? Do you really think that Nancy, Harry, Chris, Charlie, Barney, care about you? Not a chance.

I have a second cousin that is in the House of Reps, and has been for several years. He's not in my district, but if he was, even though he is doing a good job, I would vote him out because they will all be well compensated for the rest of their lives.



As far as I know, he's a conservative Republican, but as we've all said . . . it's time for a new bunch in there.

I respect your honesty, especially when a blood relation is in question. One of the things that currently brings me to scratch my head over and over is the ratio of Dems to Repubs. How in the hell did the Dumbocrats pull off full control of Congress? Can anyone tell me how that adds up to and equals democracy? It's blatantly obvious that the Left has an unfair advantage over the Right. Regardless of how hard the Right fights, the Left has the ability to roll over any objections to their legislation. That isn't democracy, that's socialism plain and simple. Take a look at the polls. I don't care much for them but if you pay any attention to them at all, today both sides of the isle are against the current direction a lot of legislation is going. It's abundantly obvious that American Citizens don't approve of it but the people in Washington DC could care less. All they're interested in is getting their way. Besides the congressional raises the numbers of federal employees is on a dramatic upturn in spite of a slagging economy and incoming revenue. Also, the average private sector salary in this country is around $45,000 while the average federal employee salary is around $75,000. But don't worry, Obama's looking out for you right?

Let me get this straight. We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it, to be signed by a president who also smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke.



What the hell could possibly go wrong?

Don't forget that those who forced this on us aren't subject to the same health care plan either. They have much better.

You're right WH, their benefit package is far better than the plan they have for us. Actually there is nothing similar between the two plans. It basically comes down to the fact that their plan is "golden"! It pays 100% of everything, follows them and their dependants for life, whether or not they are still active members of the government. Once eligible, forever provided, at taxpayer expense too! The benefit package provided to our elected officials shouldn't be provided to them and their spouse for the remainder of their life! If anything, they should be offered the opportunity to carry their insurance benefits under COBRA and at their own expense following separation from government service. Why are they buttering their bread on both sides, while the rest of us are fighting to get our hands on a crust of bread? They're selfish SOB's and have no right to get away with the BS we're witnessing! Get rid of them all, don't forget to VOTE!!
