making your own

A lot of the guns on our streets, legal or otherwise, are converted replica's. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't converting a replica kind of count as making your own gun?

I'm asking simply to prove the point that there will always be guns in America, regardless of what the politicians may do.

The politicians (Legislative Branch) simply write the laws as to who and what is legal or not. The Liberal anti 2A politicians want whomever owns guns to be criminals. Including you and I. Then they can register and confiscate all guns, thus have us in servitude. It is all in the socialist/communist playbook.

federal law says that altering any weapon from its original configuration minus upgrades and shiny parts is illegal. like lets say a Glock......there is a certain way to change a glock 17 from a semi auto into a glock 18C full auto by messing with the drop in safety. doing thus would be a felony. therefor if you get a replica non-firing weapon, and convert it to a usable weapon it is concidered altering a firearm for unauthorized use and would be illegal and making your own gun yes :-)
