Canadian Gun Laws at Work

Postby pastorfarley » Wed Mar 09, 2011 2:37 pm

Recently two Canadians travelling from Eastern Canada to Toronto made a wrong turn and ended up entering the US. The alert border guards detected the aroma of pot and did a thorough search. Result - saleable quantities of pot and ecstacy and two handguns, one with a filed off serial number. This from a country where private ownership of handguns is highly restricted. The upside is they are cooling their heels in a US jail, the downside is they are doing it at US taxpayers expense!

The way the sentence started I though this was going to be a joke, haha.

Anyways, certainly not a smart move on their part, but then, being drug dealers (according to the story) and using they probably are not too smart anyways.

As to the downside, probably better than if they came from the southern boarder, at least Canada seems to give a damn about criminal activity and would likely give out a stiff punishment of itheir own, making the US taxpayers contribution to the situation worth it.

They should've given serious consideration to the purchase of a GPS unit. That error has landed them in the pokey for 5 to 10 on the American Taxpayers dime. We need a fence on the North and South US borders! That would've helped these two anyway, lol! I hope the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans are a large enough deterrent to stop most illegals coming in that way. Right now its all we've got...
