There's a lot of hog hunting here in Florida. They use dogs quite a bit to track them. I haven't done any hunting for them but the hunters that do like to use handguns. Powerful handguns, minimum of .357 Mag. There's a hunter in southern Georgia that just took one that weighed 900 pounds. That was one big pig! As BeltBuckle stated, they can be a dangerous animal. They've got tusks that'll shredd you to pieces. They routinely hurt or kill the dogs tracking them. Do a Google search for wild hog hunting and you'll get a bunch of places to look for more information. I know there are ranches in Texas that will set up private hunts for you for a reasonable price. Guaranteed hunts.

Hey Lucky, check this information out! It's an 1100 pound hog that a fellow Floridian took out with one shot from his handgun. He fed a lot of people with a single tap of the trigger! (Delete the double spaces after the slash / marks)

Thanks for the offer DR! I will definitely spread the word around. I have seen posts not too long ago about people interested in doing some boar hunting so this should work out great for them. I believe the last guy I talked to was in Georgia, that's an easy days ride to your area. If the put a permanent open season on them they must need clearing out! That makes for some fun too. So many you don't where they'll jump from! One of those hunts that requires an extra pair of jockey shorts!! LOL! Thanks again~~

Hey Doc, the Gunny isn't shitting you, there are a lot of them here. I'll have to look up that other info for you regarding season and limit. I haven't done any hog hunting but I know that there are a lot of people that do. I understand that there are some big MFr's that are as willing to hunt you as you them! Taking them with handguns is popular, I know that.
