50-70 Can someone tell me about it please.

I have 4 bullets H/S reads or is marked UMC 50-70 which is a division of Remington, my question is when did UMC quit making the 50-70. 2 of the primer caps were hit half way from the gent who I got the ammo from, but there still live no big deal. Just was curious if anyone knew about the bullets I have not to much use for them, if someone has a rifle to shoot them your welcome to a couple or all I guess, there on a nice brass case, and a all lead bullet. They have me kinda interested though because that is a big hunk of lead on that case.
