Anyone know anything about this brand? I got their video and their stuff looks pretty impressive, but im still kind of wary because most of it is made in japan. Any info would be helpful. and all comments appeciated.

Thank you

I was looking at both of their trail master bowies because I like to go backpacking in the woods. I was also looking at their trail hawk and maybe a machete for the same use. I was also looking at their series of clip point voyager folders for my new pocket knife. What do you have?

Thank you,

Kyle

i had the recon folder, and one of the ones that you hold in a fist and looks like you are supposed to punch somebody with it. im not sure what the technical name is. but they are good quality blades in my opinion

So overall you would say their products are worth the money?

Thank you,

the blades are really sharp, and they hold their edge very well, and they just feel better in my hand

Cold Steel makes probably the best knives for the money and their high end folder such as their Hamato and Talwar and Black Talon are about the best steel you can get and beyond sharp. That San Mai steel is awesome.I heard a comment in here about someone being leary of the steel being made in "Japan" point of fact that's a good thing because they make the best knife blades. Check out their website and read up on the different models and it will tell you where exactly the line is made. I own several cold steel folders and love them all. I carry my AK47 with the G10 handle dailey as a backup weapon because it has a reversible pocket clip and a pocket opener so I can use my week hand to have an open blade by merely pulling it out of my left pocket, an excellent feature if you are fighting for control of your sidearm on your right side. Mind you I also have Benchmade and Emerson knives that are way pricer but for some reason I carry a cold steel regularly.
