Mossberg 500 Combo; Stuck Action

I just bought a Mossberg 500 and was trying to get the dowel out that prevents the extra cartridges from being loaded. I inadvertantly took out the trigger, but also in the process have now jammed the pump back into the action mechanism. Any suggestions?
