thanks for your feed back magnum, My cal. 44 has been fine as have my other charters. I have had no reply from mr. ecker to date. I am waiting pne month (7/1) before I write again. It's a shame, that the pug isn't re enginered, I like the way it shoots (when It does ) accurate and less recoil than my cal. 38.

I agree. When it does fire it is controllable, comfortable gun. It also conceals pretty well in my ankle holster (although a bit heavy for that location). sound's like we both got lemons...Will let you know when I get my new one. finger's crossed that it is all set.

Just got my new gun back from the factory today. Fit is alot tighter in the cylinder area, barrel machining looks cleaner and more quality than my previous pug. Will be shooting it soon, their customer service was really quite helpful. they get kudos for that. If she pops off 200 rounds without a problem, I will be psyched!

Thanks for the up date Magnum, I have heard zip from Ecker. Almost time for another letter. First time I tried customer I had zero success. Let us know how the testing goes...........Been there 3X.............good luck, gun

OK, just got back from the range...here is my report.

I shot 50 rounds Independent 357 magnum and 50 rounds S&B 38 special. I had NO PROBLEMS. The replacement gun is tight, no issues whatsoever. I am so very happy with the factory for making things right. I love this little gun, standard loads shoot straight and easy, and well my 158 grain hydra shoks kick like hell, but then again, they are supposed to!

I hope your gun gets replaced gunnutz, b/c it is a super little powerhouse that is now back in my good graces and will regain its position as a defensive weapon in my home and on my person. Good Luck!

Thanks for the follow up Magnum, I would like much of the same. I believe Charter has a winner there if it ever dawned on Mr.Ecker. Picture that gun polished w/rose wood grips, would sell ilike hot cakes. Enjoy your piece, hope I get one! gun.............

The pug is nice,is there really that many having to return them for repairs?Should I not consider buying a Bulldog?How many happy Bulldog owners out there?
