I'll have to answer a question with a question:

How accurate of a shooter are you? With a 6" barrel, you should be able to keep it on target at 50 yds/150ft. Although you're asking a lot from your handgun at those distances without optics or a Ransom Rest, etc., it can be done providing you have the proper target.

If you ask me, it looks more on the line of a K frame. Compare it to the S&W 67 or the Colt Python. They are roughly the same size IMO. The N frame seems larger and the J, smaller in a side by side comparison. I think I'd try a find a set of grips designed for a Taurus in that class of revolvers.

Can anyone that owns a 972 tell me how they feel about it? I am considering picking one up this coming monday. Plan on trading my s&w sigma 9mm for it. It was an impulse buy and my first semi auto. My only concearns with the rossi is that I have been unable to find speedloaders and holsters for the gun. As far as durability how well do they hold up. I realize its a bargain/economy based model, atleast that would be my assumption, you get what you pay for generally, and generally pay too much. Any imput would be much appreciated.
