This was my first gun for personal protection. 357 mag is powerful and will get the job. I have owned this gun for 14 years, it still perfoms like a champ, if you need to practice load .38 cal to get used to it. I use this as my side arm when hunting or on horse back. i have a 3in barrel and it works well for CCW close encounters.

Got this model from my Dad in the early 80's. This thing is dead on accurate and is heirloom quality for me to pass on to MY son.

I bought this gun new in 1981 and carried it in law enforcement for 25 years. I just recently gave it to my daughter to carry as a probation officer... I used to compete on a law enforcement pistol league and used the stock sights and took a couple of matches.. I now carry a P90 .45 cal as a duty weapon
