The reason for the play is part of the safety, the hammer doesnt touch the firing pin until the trigger is pulled so its not a bad thing.

I just bought a SP2022 in .40 and have put 100 rounds through it. The DA trigger pull is tough to get used to at 10 pounds other than that its bad ass. Shoots straight and needless to say it didnt jam. Also there is a light laser combo from insight called an X2L sub compact that fits perfectly under the barrel, so it doesnt make the gun any longer but gives a blinding light with a laser.

I found a good CCH holster for the SP2022. Its made by Don Hume, model number is H715 M NO. As to date still very happy with the pistol. Extremely accurate for a sub-four inch barrel. No malfunctions what-so-ever. Its really a nice Concealed Carry Piece. I like the DA trigger pull especially for CCH. That was the only thing that turned me off with carrying a Glock for a CCH. durrty, why the lower rating? It is due to the trigger pull?

I shoot 165 gr Winchester S&W 40 FMJ. Walmart sells it in a 100 pack for around $20. Good for target but for home defense pick up a box of good HP ammo like Federal Hydra-Shok.

I agree with sigslinger. Value wise the 165 Winchesters are quailty and they are clean as well! They run about $18 for a box of 100; I can barely reload for that. Personal and Home Defense I suggest Federal Hydra-Shok 165 or 180 gr. They are pricy ($17 for a box of 20) but everyone swears by them. I strongly recommend staying away from Wolf ammo as well as steel cased ammunition. The Wolf ammo burns dirty and is usually steel cased. Your Sig and Sig's Extractor will thank you for the clean ammo and softer casing. BTW, I picked up a Sig P229 this weekend at a gun show. I put 100 rounds through it and all I can say is WOW! But I never met a Sig that I didn't like.

One more thing... A 10 day waiting period in California! Good Lord. I'd be getting on my legislature about that cr#p! In Kansas you can walk out of a store with a pistol 15 minutes after you walk in.
