I Bought the HP .380 because they are so cheap and have no complaints yet. Not the most accurate gun but has been very reliable. I use it for home defense.

I have the .380 and I am impressed with the quality for the price. This gun works great at the range. The accuracy is good. This gun is not the best looking gun I own but it shoots without any issues. With that said the .380 is really to large for a carry gun. So if you are buying this gun for home protection I suggest moving up to a larger caliber.

WHY DO U NEED A LARGER CALIBER? IT THE SAME WIDTH AS A 9MM ROUND JUST SHORTER 9X16MM. MY 380 JAMS EVERY OTHER 3 SHOTS BUT IF YOU ARE GOING TO PROTECT YOU FAMILY HAVE A HANDGUN NEXT TO YOUR HEAD AND A SHOTGUN.

Cheap, accurate, no mechanical problems this is a very good gun considering. Other than weighing a ton this is a good gun. I've only shot 100 rds but still no problems at all.

Just ordered a Hi-Point CF-380 Pistol... First weapon ever... What kind of ammo should I use at the range?? And what type of hollowpoints are good?? let me know thanks!

just got the hi-point 380, shot 150rounds out the box only one jam this is a good inexpensive target gun, and pretty accurate ,but taking it apart for cleaning could be a chore, to many loose parts

Bought the HP .380 acp at a gun show a few weeks back and I have to say that it is an amazing weapon. Out the door with a background check, 50 rounds of ammo, and the gun, I spent $160. I have had no FTF, stovepipes or any problem what so ever after shooting over 100 rounds.

The gun is ugly, but I didn't buy it to show to everyone, I bought it to protect myself and I know it will with the 1.5"-2" groups at 10 yards. Most will look down on the gun because they want something pretty and flashy. However, I want to conceal carry, not advertise and show it off to everyone I meet.

The gun feels as good as any of the high-priced pistols when you are holding it in your hand. The recoil is basically not there making multiple succession shots easy. The weight is perfect as well.

Shot with a friend who had a new S&W .40 and he had more problems with FTFs and Stovepipes (when I had NONE) and paid 250 bucks more. His gun is a better name but I have learned many "big name" pistols will only shoot certain brands of ammo well. This means that sometimes you spend more on the gun and more on the ammo to put in it.

Bottom line is that I was buying a self-defense weapon on a budget and I am completely happy with my choice. You can buy any of High Points pistols for well under $200 and they are more than reliable to use as home or self-defense. If you want something that looks pretty, spend that extra $300-400.

Only downside to a .380 at this point is that you CANNOT FIND ANY AMMO FOR IT!!!! Being that this caliber has became popular again, EVERYONE has one and wants to buy ammo for it.

That is all fine and dandy tn rebel but with it being so hard to find .380 ammunition i just cannot justify it as a good buy.

i have a 9c and a 380 . all ammo is getting hard to find and as far as trouble with jams 90% of the times its the mag then type of ammo if still having trouble its most likelly the ramp .and as far as you guys thinking this gun is not worth buying come on over to my gun club and watch this gun hang with the high priced guns and its surprized the boys at camp perry as well
