futureglock33: Here is my opinion. I have both a Glock 32 and 33. The 33 is subcompact and NOT a range gun unless you buy the grip extenders. The grip extenders do work so you can use a high capacity magazine. You can only get 2 fingers around the Glock 33 unless you have a grip extender. Good for conceal carry.

The Glock 32 is the same caliber (357 sig) but a little larger. I think it can be a good conceal gun and a good range gun. If I had to choose one I would choose the glock 32 as it is just the right size for a range gun and a conceal carry gun too. I am told (not sure) that Glock 32's are ther standard issue to Forrest Park Rangers.

Correct, Forest Rangers need a round that penetrates wild animals. I personally don't care for the round, and wouldn't want the added recoil in a sub-compact Glock. It's a super-fast 9mm, and doesn't begin with a "4".

Just purchased my G33 sub compack, I am seeing post where you can buy a 40 cal. barrel for the 33 to shoot 40 cal. is this for real? If so where can I purchase the 40 cal. barrel to interchange with my 33 barrel?

bvurtdsr: Yes, you can shoot both 357 sig and 40 caliber from your Glock 33. Wolf sells match grade barrels for about $100-$110. Do a search and you will find them. Or you could ask a gun dealer to order you a Glock 40 caliber barrel too but they cost about $175.

I have the Wolf barrel and it is super accurate. My wolf barrel is 4 inches long and sticks out of the muzzle about an inch but that was a choice I made for more accuracy in target shooting. Good luck and have fun!

burtdsr: Congrats on your purchase, you'll enjoy the versatility of this model. I have both .357 and .40 barrels. Make sure you remember to use the proper ammo/caliber having 2 different barrels. You can get a stainless .40 barrel for an obvious difference, ck storm lake. I have a G23 magazine with a grip extension that is great for the range and for high capacity. G23 and G32 magazines are the same, made for the compact .40 and .357. I have a Pearce grip extension for my most concealable option, this gives me a comfortable but minimal grip (a place for your pinky). The sub-compacts are very dificult to shoot without these, IMO.

Does anyone know if a glock 26 9mm barrel and magazine can be used in the glock 33, I know the 40 cal is interchangable

I bought a Glock 33 today and as I was heading out the guy mentioned I needed .357 short rounds ??? I didn't think anything of it but I can't find any reference to a short round, I'm wondering if he was describing a sig round as opposed to a mag round??? Everything I found online says the Glock 33 is a .357 sig

Thanks, Paul

PaulClay: A Glock 33 uses 357 sig. It is much shorter than a 357 magnum.

Thanks Bruce, I finally came to that conclusion, it was just unusual to hear a reference to short rounds. I had asked him if it used sig rounds but I guess that southern accent got the better of me and I started second guessing his meaning.
