Yes Bruce, you can use a G27 barrel (.40 sub compact) in your G33. I have a storm lake. Mags are fine for .40 as the 357sig is just a necked down .40. I have recently had a change of heart about the 357sig, worried about over penatration. I will switch out these barrels as needed, probably using .40 for everyday use and throwin in the sig for outdoor excursions. I need to find a place where I can do more field testing on penatration of various materials. I will post as I learn more.

Great carry pistol. Shoots every time you pull the trigger. Over 1000 rounds fired with no hickups of any kind. Fantastic little gun, very accurate too.

Bruce 57 I also have the Glock 33 and I put the barrel from the Glock 27 and that is how I carry it until this day. I also, carry this weapon everyday, I have gone to the range for lunch and back at work. Never had a problem, luckly never had to use it at work just on the range.

electricman4759: So the Glock 33 magazines also work with .40 caliber ammo? Where did you get your 40 caliber barrel for the Glock 33?

Does anyone know where I can get a Glock 33 instruction manual? I can't find one here. I took my slide stop spring (in the lower part of the glock, not the thumb slide) out and cannot figure out how to get it back in. It has to be model 33 because the springs are different in different Glocks. Thanks for any help.

Glocks disassemble & reassemble the same.

I'm assuming You meant the Slide-Lock-Spring??

Install the spring, compress with a tiny screwdriver or something similar, and slide the Slide-Lock in over the spring.

Bruce57: I went to www.topglock.com and ordered the factory glock barrel. I have also ordered the laser max laser for my g33. I hope this helps you.

electricman4759 and g41: thanks for the info. Now I am looking for a video that will help me reassemble the slide lock spring in my Glock 33. When I was disassembling it the spring flew across the room. So I don't know how it is supposed to go back in and all the videos on youtube don't help. I am talking about the slide lock spring in the front of the receiver, not the slide lock lever.

Bruce;

In the link I left You, are You talking about part # 20? That is the "Slide Lock Spring".

You have to insert one end into the frame, compress the other end so it lays flat, and insert the "Slide Lock" through the side of the pistol.

If We aren't talking about the same part, let Me know what the # is of the correct part in the diagram.

g41: Yes, it is the part #20 (slide lock spring). Believe it or not I bought a crude metal magnet on the end of a handle here to the office and actually found the old spring. It is like you said, kinda like an L shape. The reason I was having soooo much trouble was that someone posted a purported picture of the Glock 33 slide stop spring installed and my spring looked nothing like the picture. I have since figured out the picture was a Glock but NOT a Glock 33. The slide lock springs are different on different models of Glock.
