I am so tired of a lot of gun guys telling me that the G 21 is not a beautiful gun they all say that it looks like a brick and there right but to me the simplicity of the brick is what is the most beautiful

I want to get a G21 for when I go hunting(those pigs are nasty) but everywhere i go all i see is the G21 SF but i have big hands so I would like the original simply for the size. but to the point can anyone tell me the differences between the two other than the size of the grip?

joemnkyman,

As far as I know, you are right, the only difference between the G21 and the G21 SF is the size of the grip. If your primary concern is stopping big pigs, you might want to look at the G20, its a 10mm and considerably more powerful - would deliver better penetration.

Love my g-21! accurate and light. I had one misfire in 10 or so years and that was a visibly bent case. I usually carry it in a shoulder rig with two 15 round clips. Yes I know the large cap mags are 13rd, but I have the +2 mag extensions. Plenty of firepower when it's needed. It is one of the old models and was sent to a glock facility to lighten the trigger a bit and they did all sorts of upgrades that were needed. They were mostly to bring it up to par on safety issues, not that it needed many. Needless to say, I don't carry it in the summer, It's the Glock 23, Glock 17 or M&P 40c for that time of year for carrying concealed. I would recommend it for anyone who wants something reliable, light, accurate and carries a good amount of ammo in it.

If you have big hands, this gun is the shiznit. If you dont, dont buy this gun. This thing is as reliable as the IRS getting its tax money. Its gonna happen and its gonna go bang. Not only that, but the perp is gonna recieve a Cor-Bon welcome 13 times over again. Great gun, just dont buy it for your wife.

owner of three glocks. G 21 sf, G 30 and G 23 my glocks ate thousands of rounds without one hick-up. also own two beretta 92, one smith & wesson 457, springfield 1911 and a xd in full size 45acp they also ate thousands of rounds without any hick-ups. But what i love most are my glocks 45acps both G21 sf and my G 30 the G21 sf feels good in my hand and my G30 is great for concealment. Dont carry my xd 45 much its to top heavy. I always say glocks rock and 45 holes make sad souls

gotta agree with gun-nut. The thing is big, you need a big mit to control it, but like everything they make it's a great pistol.

Haven't had hand gun for number of years. Have G21 for 5 months now. Over 200 rds 1 ff and 2 fe on reloads, none on factory loads. Trigger a little rough at first. Great weapon, but it is a handfull, Large grips. Ammo at Lucky Gunner with excellent service. Recently purchased XDm 9mm, can't wait to make it to range. Good ccw and eaisier on pocket at range.
