I like .45s but I went for the Glock 33(357 Sig) for my CCW. It is sligthtly lighter, has 10 rounds and is more pwoerful.

Nice slim small 45 that you can carry in a TUNE BELT. For me however I found the finger grooves too small for my hands. It was helpful to put a rubber oversert (Houge Handall) but it still did not feel right. I would have used an oversert without grooves if I could have found it. Pick up and hold a Glock 30 or 29. If that is comfortable for you the 36 grip will be too small. The size of the 30 grip is better for me. To each its own. As far as shooting, the 36 had an interesting feeling of pushing the round out of the gun almost like a slingshot. Very different feeling from any other gun I have shot: S&W, Beretta, Ruger, Sig, Kahr, Rohbaugh. I like how it felt, it was kinda cool, but I got rid of it becasue of the grip.

I just bought this gun as a backup and shot it for the first time today. I really like the small grip size, it feels much better in my hand than the regular Glocks. I know you get more rounds in the model 30, but how many do you really need for a backup that has less than a .1% chance of ever being used anyway? Its a solid gun, small enough to conceal easily in many ways, and throws a very big bullet. Much more comfortable to me than an XD45 compact or the little Taurus millinium pistols.

I was wondering if any one could tell me if the 36 and 30 have the same size slide or if the slide is slimmer as well as the frame ?

Ya I had to decide between the 30 and 36, I went with the 30 cause you carry 4 more rounds for the same price, the 36 will hide better tho.
