I recently bought the BDE .40 cal, I have not had a chance to fire this pistol yet but when i got it home i noticed that the trigger has a kind of grinding sound and feel when i squeeze the trigger. Is this normal for a BDE? I also noticed that if you shake the gun the slide rattles. I bought this gun because of the reviews on here and it feels very nice in my hand and i liked the double action feature. I may have made a mistake by buying a gun that was out for display, i'm not sure. Any info would be greatly apreciated.

punisher, I do not think that is normal. My trigger isn't as smooth as other weapons that I own, but the slide is solid - no movement at all. You may want the gunsmith at the shop you purchased it from to look at it. Certainly break it down for a cleaning and visual prior to firing.

punisher, As Toeman stated it is not normal. I cleaned and held my BDE for about 3 weeks until I finally went to shoot some rounds threw it. Never felt what your talking about. My first thought was how solid the gun fills. I put the BDE on layaway for about 2 weeks and requested them to find me fresh one, which they did. I would take yours back if possible.
