The Bernardelli P-018 pistol appeared on the market in the mid-1980s, as a police and civilian side-arm. The 9mm version was intended mostly for the police use, while 7.65mm version ws intended for European civilian market, where in some countries such as Italy or France, civilians are prohibited to own guns in "military"" calibers. P-018 was used by some European police forces."

before they made pistols illegal here (I'm in the UK not Alabama;) I owned an early PO18. The one with the butt heel mag release

Impressions: built like a tank, a slide that really let you know when it came back at you. Huge hunk of forged steel without a smidgen of plastic anywhere.

Trigger return spring broke. Replaced with similar items from toy cap pistol. Worked fine.

As far as I know this gun was never adopted by any police force. When everyone else was bringing out polymer or stamped pistols Bernadelli was back in the last century. Quality item though
