I've had a 92 and it was a great gun. I must have shot thousands of rounds out of it with NO PROBLEMS what so ever.

After I got a CZ 75...WOW! The handeling, recoil, accuracy, and the ammo this thing take (anything I feed her she shoots)!

The Beretta 92 is an AWESOME gun, but I perfer my CZ 75!

Just bought one, 2 year old gun, one previous owner. 'Inox" with the rail under the barrel. Has had wolff springs and a steel guide rod put in...hogue wraparound saddled on. Basically it fits my hand great, but yeah it is heavy, and large. I didn't buy it to CCW...I bought it b/c I have 3 other CCW's and I don't need a fourth. Its full size, home gun, range fun type of thing. My first gun was a Taurus PT-92, which was a piece of crap. This is a piece of art. Will report on how it does at the range.

I am a very happy Beretta 92F owner. I am, however, thinking about putting a bit more accurate rear sight on it. Any good recommendations? I have the tool for removing the original and installing the new one. (I do realize it is a self defense weapon and the factory rear sight is designed for that purpose) I would just like a bit more control over sighting while shooting. Thanks in advance for all helpful suggestions.

On this site I have noticed two different 92 models, the 92 and 92FS. What difference, if any is there between the 92 and 92FS?

the standard 92 is infact a 92F and

The difference between the Model 92F and the 92FS is the size of the hammer pin head. As a result of this dimensional difference, the Model 92FS has additional cuts to the slide and the left hand grip panel.

I am looking at getting my first semi-auto pistol. My short list is the Beretta 92, Glock 34, S&W MP 9mm, and the XD(m) 9mm which was just released. I have read a lot of reviews but have not decided. What are some of your opinions on the better choise?

i'd watch the sig there's been some problems with it lately. aparently just like the sr9(ruger) it goes off when its dropped just a word to the wise check out the problems before you buy. by the way the 92f sucks from personal experience with the new weapon it takes for ever to break in and needs to be cleaned constantly never seen a weapon that takes so many round to break in nearly 500 by my count till then jam city.

FYI, 500 rounds is not obscene for a break in period!

Whats your experience after the 500?
