I''ll start by saying that Ruger's P90 is an outstanding pistol for the money. My opinion is this pistol stands among the best .45 ACPs available today. I'm an old-school Viet Nam-era Vet so I know about .45 ACPs. I've owned mine for over 7 years and have shot thousands of various brands and types of ammo through it. The truth is, I have never, ever had one mechanical failure or FTF--you can believe this or not. Sure, anybody can spend thousands of dollars on one of the 'exotic, high class' makes of .45s. But I'll bet my life that you won't gain a nanogram of accuracy, reliability, and performance over a P90--I know this. Afterall, isn't accuracy and reliability what it's all about? In the hands of a 'good' shooter, a P90 will hold its own and for a whole lot less money (the bottomline). I know that I made a very logical choice buying a P90 (for less than $450.00) and used the extra cash to stock up on lots of ammo to practice with. P90s are some of the most rugged, reliable, and accurate .45s on the market--pure beasts that will digest it all. It may not be a pretty thing but it sure is good!!! If you are interested in buying a .45 caliber pistol for self defense and/or jsut shooting targets, then look no further. The Ruger P90 is surely worth your hard earned money. I won't settle for anything less.
