Glock 33 .357 Sig

Postby Marcbowers » Wed May 16, 2007 7:11 pm

Hello. First I want to say hi and what a great site this is. This is my 1st post, and I know there are a lot of folks that are tired of glockitis BUT...I currently own a model 26 9mm, and love it, (just watch that "safe" trigger and remember it will go boom without a magazine in). I had a Sig 239 in .357 but it seemed nose heavy to me after i had for awhile. I did however, like the way the bottleneck cartridge fed, never a prob, and mucho potent. Point is, I am thinking of trading my 26 for the 33. Does anyone have experience with this pistol? My big concern is recoil and control. Any comments welcome.

check with glocks4life i was talking to him recently about this gun.. also if you click on pistols and choose glocks as the manufactuer you can also see a whole forum on the glock 33. It seems like a great gun for what i hear of it.

I have no personal experience with the .357sig round, so my knowledge is based on what I read. So that in mind, I feel theres to much of a chance for over penetration with that round, I think Glock tries to market that gun to forest rangers, do to more of a chance of animals that would need a deeper penetrating bullet.

Tahnks for the input. It is definitely a hot cartridge. Do you have a preffered defensive 9mm for the 26. I really like the gun, but have only fired standard loads. Thanks for the help and if you happen to get your hands on a .357 Sig let me know what you think.

Thanks, Marc
