What is the best all around handgun?

General discussion and chatter about firearms and weapons only.

My choice is often a Kimber Compact Stainless which has a Commander barrel in a stainless slide on top of an officer's frame in aluminum. To me it is the perfect carry 45. Like the man said it starts as a 45 and never gets smaller. Most anything else has to grow to a 45 or better after it hits your target. next in line is a 40 cal and then a 9mm if necessary. Somewhere in there fits a 357 2 incher.

IMO it's the .357 Magnum; fired from a Colt revolver, it can't get better than that. If you can get a Colt Trooper MkIII, it's the best!

This is a purely subjective question! Best handgun for what? Plinking, defense, hunting or collecting??? I'm afraid I just opened up a real can of worms, lol!!! Bring it on boys, bring it on.....

Old question keeps returning. Ought to assume e/one has a good .22 for target, etc. Next is Defense; .357mag, .45acp, .40S&W are great (proven) calibers, but then comes the specific handgun to load them into.

Revolver vs semi is the first decision. Then, is usually concealability, weight, reliability, what fits hand, recoil, accuracy, manual safety, etc., etc. aka, compromises. LOL

Hunting, for me, is a rifle/shotgun issue.

Chinese??? Oh well, cost is a huge factor. As long as it works properly when you want it to is the key! Are you using room air or nitrogen for the plasma? Nitrogen is far superior IMO, but properly dry room air works if you have to go that way.

Answer me back by PM so we can put this thread back on topic. I'm sure I'll have more question!
