How to sell collection.

Postby lucigo » Thu Jun 21, 2007 9:56 am

My first husband died in 2000 and I have a collection of about 20 guns I am interested in selling. They have been sitting in a gun cabinet untouched for 7 years, would they still be ok or have I let them sit too long? What is the best way to go about selling them? Thanks!

lucigo,

I would take them to a certified gunsmith and have them all inspected first. If he/she deems that they are shootable you could have them appraised by a appraiser or betteryet a store that buys them. Just beware, there are alot of people out there who would love to talk you into selling your guns for less then what they are worth. Just use caution and get second and third opinions so yours husbands collection gets the attention that it deserves. Hope this helps some.
