Taurus 357 mag 4 inch barrel SS

looking for the modle number on pistol?

The only number looks like a serial number.

#nl 170278

pistol has ported barrel and fixed front sight with red/orange tip.

looking for info on pistol never had a Taurus before.Most reviews look good except for the noise from ported barrel.

The location of the model number on a Taurus revolver is usually located behind the crane and is stamped on the frame of the pistol itself. It's hard to describe!! Open the cylinder and adjacent to the arm (crane) that supports the cylinder you'll see it stamped on the frame. It's hidden when the cylinder is closed. There are two numbers on mine, a four digit number over the model number, mine happens to be 850, which is the model, an 850 CIA revolver. I hope you can make sense of this!!
