It's hunting season. We need this type of question to stimulate our buck addled brains. I had a Marlin 336 30/30 some years ago. Ultimately, my wife traded it for a horse (she asked my permission of course). I got naming rights for the new horse (Marlin, naturally), but not sure if it was a good deal. Later my wife sold the horse for $600, a lot more than the rifle cost, but I'm still without a 30/30 after all these years. Note: this is my thread. This is not about the virtues of the 30.06 vs. the 30/30. This is about the Winchester 94 vs. the Marlin 336. There, I said it.
