My personal reference would be a Charter arms Snubbie with a shrouded hammer for SA/DA with aluminum frame that weighs 12oz. Model: "On Duty" no. 13810 Looks like SS. Cost about $345. Also is the "undercover Lite" at 12 oz with traditional hammer & choice of colors. I carried the "Pug" .357 Mag model as an off duty sidearm for many years [one of the best CC sidearms I've owned in 40+ years. It is made for defense, not a mega-round range gun. Many don't realise, it has a completely blocked hammer system, cannot fire unless trigger is held in full rear position - safest revolver design in the world. In fact, Charter invented the hammer block transfer bar safety system used by almost every revolver manufacturer. Charter 'gave' the patent to other gun makers, free, just to make revolvers safer. How not to love a 12 oz, 5 shot, +P rated, reliable revolver that is made in the U.S. with U.S. parts and U.S. employees. The new 'shrouded hammer' make holsters optional.
