Hell, you can't even find a place to do long distance shooting in the Houston area without help.
Again the King of insight gives us more knowledge from upon high...
and here I thought it was because I had moved to a new area and was learning where things are, my mom taught me to ask people where to find things as a child.. wish I was all knowing like you whitehead
Lets keep it basic for you. First go to Google. Second search shooting ranges Houston area. Simple. Even you can do this.
Hey Tig and all the others sending email... Look how helpful white head can be!!!! Isn't that awesome? sure glad he came up with that helpful tidbit huh?
I am stuck in Shanghai all week on business and it looks like the Chi-Coms have everything and anything "Guns" blocked on the internet. At least I could get to this website. Can't wait to get back to the good ole' USA and exercise my constitutional rights. Enjoy your freedom of speech etc... boys, the communist/fascist/socialist parts of the world (which is most of it anymore) couldn't even imagine what they are missing.
Hey Brother, stay safe over there and let us know when you get back. You're right, there's no place like home!
One heck of a pain in the rear getting back around all those thunderstorms and tornado's. Got back home though, shot some clay birds with my oldest boy Thursday night and now off to the beach for a week. Nothing like shooting something to get the stress out and your mind off of stuff.
Ben, I agree with shootin' to unwind!! + riding my motorcycle + beer with my friends + grabbin my wife and...
ST8, I have to drive 45 minutes to get to a 100 yard range !
Have to use a ballistic chart to sight my long guns for 300 yards.
This is KANSAS, it's not like there's anything here. sux.
I've driven through Kansas b4 and damm near fell asleep Go!!! Damm I need to be grateful for what I have! I thought with all the open range out in west Kansas it would be easy to find somewhere to shoot 300+.... Bummer
I have a great-niece who just married a farmer, so I should have a few thousand acres to hunt & shoot on... after harvest time.
When I lived in NE Kansas, 2008, I crossed KS on my way to a week in the Rockies, on the bike. Wife is from KS and she did sleep most of the way. LOL
that's awesome Go!!! Hey can I book my range, yote', and hunting time with you now??!!
ST8, probably can. I got a friend into 'yotes. He reloads & has all the calls & such.
We sighted-in our 300 Win Mags last Winter for 300 yards.
He has gotten many, but it'll be a first for me.
Now that sounds like a huge amount of fun!!!! I just picked up one of Nikons 223 scopes in 3-12x42 BDC for my M4. Waiting for the mounts to come in and see exactly what kind of groups I can get out of the SR 556. With the Eotech it's 2MOA at 200 yards curious to see what it does now...LOL
And let me know when to book my trip
I think the Moderator's should get the first trip there!!
Well hell tig with that much area we should have enough room! I'd just be excited to be able to do some really long range shooting with my own weapons for a change..(they are far better and more accurate!)
