FINALLY....Bond Arms has Jumbo Grips....check it out: http://www.bondarms.com/iwhatsnew.php Wish they had been a rubber tactical type grip, but the wooden one will be a lot better than the standard grip for the SS-IV.

Hey, Drygulch...you should buy yourself a scroll saw and start making those grips...I called Charlie at Bond several times, but it doesn't look like they are going to get any tactical grips made...He

I posted a photo with a set of Charter Arms rubber grips I cut down to fit my Cowboy Defender. If I'd had a scroll saw, I could have made them look better; but they work great! I've gone

RHerringt,
Thank you. I got it as a snake gun and plingker. But, if I have the same kind of luck with buckshot that you have I will start carrying it as a back up.

lrgcal4fun, I have a Snake Slayer IV, and have used #6 shot and had the same results as you did. Not only was the pattern useless, but the shells were very messy. So, I chose to shoot only 000Buckshot

Received my Texas Defender last week and took it to the range.
First, the construction of the gun is superb. The lock up very tight and functions of the hammer and trigger are smooth. The trigger

Yes, a larger, rubber grip, like a tactical grip, is what I'm looking for...Did you leave your name to be contacted when they were available, or did he just suggest that you check back in a certain amount of time? Thanks for your input.

RHerringt, I talked to Charlie earlier today & he said the grips should be out anytime. Best is to call & check on new items, they sometimes don't get them on the website very quickly. He also

Drygulch, Did Charlie give you any time frame on the larger rubber grips? I would certainly be interested in those. I assume they will be on their website, but these probably will be a

I have the Cowboy Defender but exchanged the 3" barrel for a 3 1/2" barrel so I could use the 3 inch .410 rounds instead of the 2 1/2 inch. I also have 9mm & 45 ACP barrels. This is

I just purchased the Snake Slayer IV, 45/410, with the larger grips. Seems to me that even the larger grips are small. Anyone found larger grips for it? Also, I'm interested in purchasing a .22

BigDave: thanks for that info, I might just go with a smaller cal. hoping it won't be as much of a recoil.

Just to let you know. If you use this gun for home defense use the .410 hollow point slugs in it. They have as much power as a .357 magnum without the recoil or the muzzle flash.

Well, I shot my snake slayer IV today. Great gun, shoots real smooth and does not recoil as much as I thought it would. I think it will serve me well for a long time.

I bought some CCI .45 colt shot shells to use in my snake slayer IV. I've heard that is the best ammo to use in it. They say it gives a good pattern and does not recoil as bad. I'll find out in the morning when I go to shoot it.

I have a Bond Arms Derringer in .38/.357 and one in .44 Spl. This is one of the best built small CCW guns I have ever owned. It is a close range personal defense weapon with 2 barrels that spell "I
