I stayed away from Glock way too long! This is by far my favorite pistol. I love the balance and light weight. The thing is accurate and reliable. No wonder it is so popular! Easy to load, easy to shoot, easy to clean. Fantastic gun!

You have a nice pistol! The latest poop from the Glock God is that the new Gen. 4 frames are experiencing problems. Turns out that the Gen 2 frames are the strongest tested. The Gen 4 frames are made

Does anyone know how difficult it is to put a optic site on a G17? Looking to to put a red dot scope on a 17 for steel competition, and not sure if I will need a gunsmith to put the base on.
Any advice?

I recently purchased a new Glock 17. The dealer gave me 2 boxes of ammo to 'get me started' (a box of Remington UMC® 9mm Luger 115GR MC L9MM3 and a box of COR®BON 9mm Luger +P 90gr JHP).

I can see your point. The feel of the 17 would be MUCH better than any 22 pistol that I can think of. For me though it is just a personal preference. I just would prefer to have 2 guns rather than

Kep4321, The reason I ordered an AA kit is so I can shoot the Glock 17 more, With the price of 9 MM ammo I can't afford to go to the range and blow through 2or 3 boxes of 9s, and I go 2 maybe 3 times

Hi Pa,
What did you have to spend on your AA kit? I haven't talked to anyone that has mentioned what their impression was of it. I'd appreciate it if after you get it and run it through

Thanks for the info Tigwelder56. So far I my range sells Blazer Brass for $16.99 per 50 with a limit of 5 boxes and a gun shop in the area has American Eagle for the same price with no buy limit.

You have an unusual Glock. Most people purchase the smaller models (inc. full size)! It's unusual because it's an extended barrel model and I'm certain that it will provide some

I got the 3rd gen. G17, instead of the 4th gen....I shot it. it was 100% reliable and accurate. And I find it hard to believe that ammunition manufacturers can't keep up with supply and demand.
