Excellent recommendation Glocks! I didn't know you had a P2000. Pretty soon you'll be able to open your own shop! LOL!
I wanted to add a question. Have you measured the initial double action trigger weight and the single action

Hi center-beam;
In My opinion, the V3 is the way to go. While I don't own the sub-compact Sk,(I have the compact model P2000), I have put about 50 rounds through My friend's .357sig Sk, and have nothing bad to say about it. Recoil

I must admit I am rather new to these types of guns and I'm looking to purchase my first "complicated" handgun. Currently I own a .357 Ruger that is pretty simple, load the bullets and pull the trigger and you get a really really loud

If You check HK's website, THEY list the measurements; same as labeled here. I agree the SK is a bit big for a sub-compact, but I think it is well built, accurate (more accurate then Glock, the P-2000 is on par with My Kimbers) ...and worth

H&K has a reputation for reliability--but this gun is cheaply made and overpriced. A Glock of the same size would be the better choice for polymer. On the hammer version (version 3) the trigger is too heavy and long. The above stats list the

"Cobblecanyon" - Sorry for the late reply. There were no real cons to putting that particular laser on because it is so small and fits fine in my nylon IWB holster. That being said, it is not magic and I find that I can do just as well with

Just purchased an SK and put 200 rounds thru it. I love the way it shoots and feels. The trigger pull will take a little getting used to though!

Hey ladies and gents. I have a Smith and Wesson M&P .40 that I bought last summer. I absolutely love the gun, but the problem is that it's just a little too big to carry around comfortably. For those of you that own the P2000 SK, I have a few questions:

jobpatto - I am considering a Laserlyte FSL laser for my SK also. After having it for about 1 wk now, what are the pros/cons of having it? Thanks.

Just attached a Laserlyte FSL Sub Compact Laser to the rail of my SK and posted a picture. It fits perfectly, in fact the Laserlyte package even has it attached to an SK. At 50' I could do just as well with the 3-dot sights but it holsters perfectly and I can't even tell it is on there when firing. I believe it will be a huge low-light advantage!

"concerto", I use the V2 which is the LEM (Law Enforcement Modification). If you can try one in a store it would make more sense but this is how it works.
The hammer stays down when your finger is off the trigger. In order

concerto, They come in different variants, the V3 model is My choice (P2000). The model has a de-cocking button on the back of the slide, the gun then becomes a double action first shot (unless You cock the hammer), and single on the succeeding shots.

I have a stupid question.
I have been looking at the 2000sk on line and I don't see a thumb safety. Do you just keep the hammer down until your ready to fire ? Is It double action trigger ?

I just started carrying my SK for off-duty, (I bought the regular P-2000 .40 LEM for a duty gun) and it's outstanding for how easy it is to carry. I'm not as accurate with it as yet for point shooting, but I'll see if that's just an issue for practice.
Who has any suggestions as to a good leather concealment holster?

g4l - you could be right. Though another shooter who worked at the range took her for a 9rd spin had the same problem. This is very minor and I am certain there is a fix once I get more comfortable with her.
I am taking it back out to the range

I just learned that HK makes a $15 product called an X-Grip to fill the gap on the USPc/P2000 magazine so that they will fit properly in the P2000 SK and allow for the use of the 12 round mags (in the .40 at least), as opposed to the

I haven't personally put a USP magazine into the P2000 or P2000SK but HK claims the USP magazines will work in these guns as long as the caliber is the same and yes it would extend out the bottom then.

jobpatto,
As with [nearly] any subcompact, unless you hold the world record for smallest hands on a grown man, the pinky is going to dangle. The recoil of the .40 S&W itself is plenty manageable, but you're going to feel a little discomfort

Jobpatto, I own a P2000 .40 SA/DA, My Friend owns the P2000SK .357sig SA/DA. My P2000 has between 500-600 rounds with no failures and it's the lightest kicking .40 Ive ever fired. I shot maybe 50 rounds through My Buddy's SK, for a small

This is not a review but I currently own a USP .40 Compact LEM (which I love) and I am considering getting the P2000 SK .40 LEM to replace it. I'm going to give my father the USP and either go a little smaller or just get a second USP Compact.
