breaking in holster?????

The Dog and Smith are both right. If you buy a good holster, you best not put anything on it or it will die on you. Comp-Tac makes outstanding holsters. There is also plenty of junk out there. I know I have bought a few.

I used Galco Draw-Ez on a Galco Fletch OWB holster, and it took almost a full half-ounce bottle, over a period of several days to do any good. On the other hand, I bought an OWB holster from Ray's Holsters, online, and one application was enough. The Ray's holster at 37 bucks is superior in every way to the 80+ dollar Galco. It even has an adjustable thumb break, and the leather is smoother and beautiful.

Put it in a sock and leave it in for a couple of days. dont massage it, dont oil it and dont try to streach it using your hand. When your gun is insdie it you should be able to turn it upside down and the holster should retain the gun. You dont want it too loose.

If you are a sniffer like me an old thin dirty sock would do just fine.
