My wife bought this gun as her first. She loves it. She "of course" went all out and bought the one with the Hogue grips and night sights. Not that I blame her. First off if there is a moderator doing their job, please fix the caliber error. It is a .380 auto only. As far as the last post horror story I feel bad for you but that is obviously not a normal problem. Sig should be willing to fix for free as long as you are willing to pay for shipping. That being said, my wife loves this gun. She shot a real tight group repeatedly. Unfortunately it is a little small for my hand but I did well with it also. It actually packs a little punch too. The slide did mark my hand from friction so, I think I've had my fun with it. The sleek design and low drag accompanied with the ability to conceal and meet my wife's needs give it a 5 in my book. Good luck to you skunk. Ours shot flawless though.

I have had it for around three year. The pistol is very accurate and never fails. It is the best 380 I have shot. I recently bought a Ruger LC9. While looking for an ankle holster for it I actually bought a great one for my Sig P232. If you are interested in one, take a look at the Galco. If you buy it you may need the boot extension, which enable it to fit on larger ankles. They have an ankle safe too which can hold a couple mags.

I found a Red box factory refurb for 500 bucks. Is it worth the money? From the pictures the gun looks like its in mint condition.

I'm considering buying this gun but............has anyone had experience shooting 357Sig vs 357Magmun re: power, recoil, cost per 50rds? Would appreciate any advice.

This gun isn't available in .357 Sig. The site made an error. This is a 9mm Kurtz AKA .380 Auto only. As far as the recoil is concerned it's the same as a .40 cal. Essentially the same charge with a step down to the smaller bullet. That is why most magazines for .40 are interchangeable with .357 Sig guns. The accuracy of the .357 Sig is awesome. Great round. Unfortunately it's also an expensive round that is not readily available everywhere. Good luck!

Seems kind of pricey. My wife bought hers, a new alloy frame with night sights and two magazines for $600. The red box units come with a one year warranty. Check out Gunbroker.com for current pricing.

I like the fact that its all SS, GB prices are in line with 500 bucks since theres shipping involved. The guy I might be buying this from purchased it a year ago from the original owner so the warranty has expired. Just not sure if a refurb is any good and would hold its value.

THe red box CPO units that I have seen have been like new, so I don't think being refurbished will decrease the gun's value. Plus, you are not going to want to sell it - it's the Swiss watch of handguns!

I have a Sig p232 SL, all stainless. It's like having the most beautiful girl at the ball. Sure, she doesn't have the knockdown power of a 45 or even a 40 SW, but who cares? This gun is like a beautiful Swiss- German beauty, like a Rolex from Zurich. If you really believe you might be in a gunfight with foreign agents and need a 20 round Glock, this is not your gun.
