I recently picked up a CZ 75D PCR compact and this is BY FAR the best carry pistol that I have ever carried. I think that I have several pistols that will be collecting dust

I just picked up the CZ 75 p07 duty in 9mm. Two days later I took it to the range, I was impressed with how accurate and reliable this pistol was. I fired 100 rounds with no issues. This will be my new carry gun. Finding a holster can be tough. CZ has one on there site for $55. But, I took a leather holster for a Taurus 709 slim. The CZ fit it but, not snug. I soaked it in hot water, wiped the water off and put it in the dryer until it was just about dry. Then stuck the gun in it and let it set. Fits great!

About two years ago I bought a CZ75 B in 9mm. It became my favorite pistol. I can't imagine how many rounds I've put througt it with no problems what so ever. I just got a CZ 75 B in 40 cal. and it's just as great.

How is the recoil on the 40 cal? I was looking at one at the local range just wasn't sure if I wanted another 40. I know My 75 B and 75 PCR compact are by far my two favorite pistols I own.

The recoil isn't bad at all kerstingm. I have a Glock 22, Taurus P140 and a XDM all in 40 Cal and the CZ has the least recoil. I like the other guns but the CZ is also the most accurate.

Thanks for the reply BigBob. I recently picked up a Kimber Ultra Aegis II, but besides that my CZ's are my most accurate pistols I own.

CZ 75 SP-01: I took this gun to range today and ran 200 rounds through it right out of the box. WOW! What a great shooting pistol. I was smiling like mule eating briars as the one hole in the target got bigger and jagged. This pistol is a joy. Here are my pros and cons:

Pros: It is all steel and very well made. It's heavy so the recoil is minimal, this translates to very rapid and controlled fire. I was able to fire faster with more control, than my Glocks and Springfields. It has a long sight radius, like my 1911 Government model so it's easier to maintain the sight picture, giving better accuracy. It holds 18+1 (Take that California!).

Oh... and it has Tritium night sights. Plus it's comfortable to hold and it points naturally.

Cons: The trigger is not as good as my 1911, being double action, and is a little gritty. I have been told that this will smooth out nicely after a while. The Tritium sights are great in the dark but are harder to see in the light than my Glocks or other three dots sights that are white. I could see them well enough to shoot one jagged hole at 21 feet though. And did I say it was heavy? 41oz empty, 51oz loaded. It's too heavy to carry concealed, for long anyway.
