If you want a pistol that is reliable, fun, well balanced, affordable, accurate, easy to maintain and somewhat ugly, this is the gun for you. I bought mine on a whim and I am absolutely impressed with its performance. As a bonus, this weapon bugs the heck out of higher priced gun owners.

I purchased my first Hi-Point on a whim since I found the best deal ever on a 9mm. Ive put 2000 rounds through it with no jams, malfunctions, or problems. Its a comfortable gun with enough mass to absorb recoil for the inexperienced, but it provides accuracy and reliability for IDPA competition shooting. Hi-Points Lifetime Warranty Policy is impossible to beat! This gun is not "cheap"". Its inexpensive and reliable."

I am a Deputy Jailer in my hometown i bought a hi point c9 for a duty weapon at first i was skeptical because i had trouble with the magazine ejecting after about 3 rounds. I took the grip off on the opposite side of the magazine release and readjusted the spring that pushes the magazine lock in and i have not had a problem since. I just done yearly qualifications and the HI Point shot as well as the Glocks and Sigs so I believe this is a very acceptable pistol!!

I have had this pistol for about a year now. halfway decent accuracy below 30ft. every 2 or 3rd shot the clip will fall on the ground .this is the only downside.

i have corrected by adjusting the spring that holds tension on the magazine lock. other than that this is a awsome throw type pistol. if anyone here has a used one they would like to get rid of contact me.

For those who have adjusted the spring to keep the magazine in place, exactly what did you do?

I just bent the spring out toward the grip and when you put the grip back it adds more pressure.

I bought a C9 last Feb (For $120 I had to try it) I have 1500 rounds though it. I found accuracy to be much better then I thought it would be. (Better then most shooters can shoot) At first the tigger was alittle stiff, but it got better and better. After about 500 rounds it was not to bad. I bought 4 10 round mags and I had first round feeding problems. I called Hi-Point about this they told me how to adjust the mags. I did what they said and it worked.

I did have one story about this company.. I was going up the concrete stairs and I tripped and dropped the gun. ( It was unloaded at the time) the gun hit the corner of the stairs very hard smashing the slide! I sent it in to Hi-Point they would not let me pay for repairs even though it was my fault! Not only did they repair my slide they up dated the gun. I got a new frame sights and drop saftey. Plus they sent it back to me with two new 8 round mags! This blew me away, this company is heads a tails above! Customer service is 2nd to no one. I am happy with this gun. It worth the money. The other thing I want to bring up is the fact that these dont need much cleaning. Hi-Point says to bore bush the gun every 300-400 rounds. And to not take it all apart for full cleaning except 1400-2000 rounds.

(Since that time I have bought a 995 carbine. It is a great shooter.)
