OK folks being new to the forum as well as new to shooting I am a little confused. I was all sold on the Glock 26 and when I went to my range and spoke to my gun guru he told me to step up to the Glock 19. Most owners of a G26 add an extension so the grip is longer, with the G19 the grip is already a little longer and the G19 can serve as a CW. Your thoughts.

I've been carrying the Glock-19 for years. It's an excellent firearm. Now I want to purchase a Glock-26 because it is smaller and will conceal better in the summer time.

I was shooting a competition last week where a fellow competitor was using a Glock-26. I was very impressed with

the way it performed, and he didn't seem to have any problem with the shorter grip. I have to have one.

Mack, I have fairly large "meat hooks" I have no problem with the grip on the 26. In 9mm it is very controllable. NOWHERE near my S$W 360 flamethrower. I have fired the 27 chambered in the 40 cal.. It does have more muzzle flip but not horrible either. And my 26 carries much easier then the 19 also. If you rdoing any competition look into changing out the conecting bar and the trigger spring along with the mag release and slide release. Made allot of difference to me. It isn't a huge change and if you shoot infrequently you may not even notice the trigger pull change but I love the feel of it now and makes it much quicker follow up shots.. I needed to change the mag release due to the frame size the extension made it much nicer to drop the mag.

I purchased the G 19 and love it. I then purchased the G26 for pure carry conceal purpose. You can use the G 19 mag in the 26 if need be. Very reliable gun. Put over 500 round through each never a FTE or FTF.

same here treadlite! just bought a G26 and put 300 rounds through it and not one FTE, FTL or FTF. Just took it out of the box and started shooting. Its super accurate for a smaller pistol as well. I love it and recommend it to all!!!

Hey folks, just wanted to let you know I bought a Glock 19. Qualified with it for my CWP. Everyone is making fun of me calling me a pistol packing mama. LOL on well. I don't care. I love to shoot and this gun is great. Fits my hand. The 26 was just a little bit to small. 19 still fits in my purse for consealment.

I have had the G26 since late 2006 it is also my ccw. I carry it everday, anytime I leave the house it is on my person. Its loaded with Speer Golddot 147 grain hollow points, and holstered in a crossbreed supertuck deluxe which is very comfortable. I have shot at least 1500 rounds though my G26 it hardly ever gets cleaned or oiled and I have never had it jam or malfunction ever. If you want a gun you can trust your life with I recommend the Glock 26 everyone

My first semi-automatic pistol was a Taurus 24/7 .45 cal. After problems with it, I sold it and purchased a Glock 23. I love it so much I got the Glock 26 for my wife. She's using it to get her CWP. The mag extender solves the problem of the pinky - perfectly. I'm very suprised that there is so much less kick than other models. I had no problems staying on target - even without the mag extender. I recommend it to anyone wanting a nice concealed weapon.

Well after shooting my son's Glock 19, i started looking for one, for myself. The gun store owner suggested the Glock 26 for CCW, and WOW was he right. i love this gun. Can't say enough about how well it shoots. And it conceals very easily. If anyone is looking for a conceal 9mm and they don't at least look at the Glock 26, they may be missing the boat.
